My PhD dissertation research focused on mechanisms of neural repair interventions, particularly in the context of neurodegenerative disease.

I currently perform clinical trial research for Parkinson’s Disease and related conditions at the Kentucky Neuroscience Institute.

MEDICINE

I am a neurologist and movement disorders specialist at the University of Kentucky. I see patients with a variety of movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, Essential Tremor, Dementia with Lewy Bodies, Multiple System Atrophy, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Corticobasal Syndrome, Huntington’s disease, Restless Leg Syndrome, Tourette Syndrome, parkinsonism, dystonia, chorea, ballism, athetosis, myoclonus, ataxia, tremor, tics, and other conditions.

I perform Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) programming for movement disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease and Essential Tremor. I also work with the UK Neurosurgery DBS program.

I perform botulinum toxin injections for the treatment of movement disorders.

Education

I am passionate about teaching, and have sought out opportunities to teach at every level of my education.

I currently serve as an Associate Program Director for the University of Kentucky neurology residency program.

I provide bedside clinical education for medical trainees. I lecture residents and medical students on fundamental neuroscience and neuroanatomy.
